I’m a regular critic and contributor to the specialist publications, Opera Now and Klassick magazines. Opera Now is published by Rhinegold Publications in London but is distributed around the world. I would almost call it the trade magazine for the opera business in that virtually every opera house in the world has a subscription, although the readership is as much opera goers as people who work in the business; there are in excess of 30,000 subscribers. Click here to visit the magazine website. Click here to see Neil's latest review in the most recent issue of the magazine. Klassick magazine is published in Norway for a largely Norwegian readership and covers the whole of the classical performing arts; orchestral, chamber music and recitals as well as opera. I act as their UK correspondent although I do provide other features for them from time to time. Click here to see my article on Norwegian student Karen Eikrem's experiences at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. In addition to the two magazines I’m also an occasional contributor to the The Sunday Times and The Times as well as the two main Scottish national newspapers, The Herald and The Scotsman.
